Kenfrost Homes Cairns Taipans v Kings 01/02/26

An interesting game - all Taipans for the first quarter, then the Kings started slowly pegging us back, finally overhauling us to win the game 92-106.

Lachlan was the standout for the Taipans this game with 18 points and 3 assists. Mojave, Jack and Kyrin all on 17 points, Andrew with 10 assists and 12 points.

With a Galloway on each team, it was going to be interesting to see who could score the most. Kyrin won that battle 17-0 against his brother Jaylin, but to be fair Kyrin had more court time.

With this being the annual IFYS "Blackout" game, all the team shirts went up for auction at the end of the game, with a staggering $37,750 being raised for our charity partner. Jack's went for $15,000...

One more home game, against Melbourne United on Thursday 12 February. Two 'away' games before then, against Perth then Brisbane, and then 'away' again to finish the season against the Breakers on 19th February..
