A nail-biter to start NBL26, with the Taipans coming out winners by a single point. As Fordey said, ugly but we'll take it. Adding Andrew into the starting five was probably a gamble, with him having basically just stepped off a plane and onto the court, but it was a gamble that paid off.

Jack came tantalisingly close to a triple-double, just needing one more rebound and one more assist. Taipans led at the end of every quarter, and led the game for the only quarter that matters - Q4.

Short turn-around for the guys, off to Sydney to play the Kings on Sunday, then back in Cairns for Thursday night against Adelaide.
