Thunder Night 2 - 2 August 2025

Friday night it rained, Saturday night there was barely a cloud in the sky - which made it kinda cold (9.9C overnight) but perfect conditions for racing.

Again the Wingless Sprints turned on some great racing, the visiting drivers helping to bring the locals up to speed. They may have overdone that, as local (and event sponsor) Richie Robb took out the feature race.

Junior Sedans were right into it, and in Modified Sedans Dave and Graham were carving each other up most of the night. F500 was dominated by Ash and Summer, with Ash taking out the main event after Summer, who was trailing, had her top wing collapse.

The big things with wings? Local driver Brodie saw off all the visitors to take a comfortable win after several restarts, but led from start to finish. Most of the cars finished on slick tyres, as the track scrubbed off the tread.

And next weekend, we get to do it all again!
