Perfect weather for racing (although a tad chilly later on - 17C!) and no rain for the preceding week. 400 tonnes of dirt added to the track, and this was its first trial. It passed.
Up for grabs, apart from Club points, was the NQ Title for Junior Sedans. Taking the trip up north for his final appearance before aging out of the category was the current Q1, Jayden Hancock. Now he's added to his collection by taking out the feature win and the title. Brenton Chandler pushed him hard, though. This is where the future is - these young drivers move up to different categories.
Tyler Allen should have got a parking ticket for leaving his car in the catch fence outside the tower, but after the crash crew got the car down, there was so little damage that he was ready for the next heat!
Lots of fun in the other classes, with some very close competition.
Next up is the first weekend of the big one, "Thunder in the Canefields" on 2nd / 3rd of August, to be followed the next weekend by the final on the 9th / 10th of August. Going to be a busy couple of weeks with four race nights!
