Another season, another opening night win. Taipans have a habit of winning their first home game of each season, and this one was no exception. Taipans met Phoenix in the Blitz, and beat them, though both teams were missing players. At home, beat them again, still with both teams missing players.

One more game (away) in Brisbane, and then the Taipans head off to the USA and Canada for a couple of pre-season games against the Washington Wizards and the Toronto Raptors, then back home on 28th October to play against the Sydney Kings.
