Cairns Dolphins & Marlins v Northside Wizards 7/07/23
7/7/23Not the night we were hoping for. The First Nations Round was something to look forward to, but from the scoreboard point of view, it was a round we would rather forget.
The Dolphins were up against the ladder leaders, and they showed why they are at the top of the tree. Those ladies are wizards (yeah, I know...) on the offensive glass and that, to a large extent, was the game. Shaneice with 15 points, 5 rebounds 2 assists and 2 blocks; Penina 15 points; Jennifer 14 points 11 rebounds and Taylor with 13 points.
On to the Marlins game, and for the second week in a row it came down to the final shot of the game. Last week it went in. This week it didn't. Tad with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists; Lachlan 16 points and 8 rebounds; Jonah 15 and 6; Ky 14 and 6.
On to the last round of the regular season - hopefully next week will work out a bit better (I'll be at the Speedway...)
